Logo Usage Policy

The accreditation mark tells learners that a specific activity was independently reviewed. This policy keeps that meaning intact.

Version 1.0 — last reviewed January 2026

1. Who may use the mark

Only a provider with a current accreditation, and only in relation to the specific accredited activity, for the period shown in the public register.

2. Required wording

Use one of the following forms, with the accreditation number displayed alongside:

  • “Accredited by CPD England — [accreditation number]”
  • “CPD England accredited: [n] CPD credits — [accreditation number]”
  • “This activity is accredited by CPD England for [n] CPD credits ([accreditation number]).”

3. Prohibited claims

  • Do not state or imply approval by the General Medical Council.
  • Do not state or imply approval by a Royal College, medical school or university.
  • Do not state or imply government, NHS or regulatory approval or endorsement.
  • Do not describe CPD England as a regulator or as “official”.
  • Do not describe the organisation as “CPD England accredited” — accreditation is per activity.
  • Do not use the mark on an activity that has not been accredited, or after expiry or withdrawal.
  • Do not use the mark in a way that suggests CPD England endorses a product, price or clinical claim.

4. Visual rules

  • Use the supplied SVG or PNG files without redrawing, recolouring or adding effects.
  • Minimum width 120 px on screen or 30 mm in print, so the number stays legible.
  • Keep clear space equal to the height of the mark's letterforms on all sides.
  • Use the light version on light backgrounds and the dark version on dark backgrounds.
  • Do not place the mark inside another badge, seal or ribbon device.

5. Certificates issued to participants

Participation certificates may carry the mark and must state the activity title, the credit value, the accreditation number and the date of participation. They must not describe the participant as accredited or certified by CPD England.

6. Enforcement

Misuse is treated as a breach of the Accreditation Terms. We normally ask for correction within five working days. Continued misuse can result in withdrawal of accreditation, removal from the register, and publication of that withdrawal.
